The Trail
From the Wire Pass parking area, cross the dirt road and follow the wash downstream. After 10-15 mn of walking, a sign in a curve indicates Coyote Buttes. Turn off to the right (for Buckskin Gulch proceed straight on in the wash).
A sandy trail climbs up to the top of a ridge.
Sign in the trail register. Walk down the other side and follow the navigation instructions issued with the permit.
Two important landmarks
Twin Buttes
Proceed to south. Identify the "Twin Buttes" and pass them on the right.
The Crack
Leaving the twin cones proceed accross flat bare rock. Start looking for a black crack in the distance and head directly to it.
